I wanted to let the community know about True North Treks. They're an amazing organization that gives young adult cancer survivors a chance to reconnect with nature, other survivors ,and most importantly, themselves. They generally provide two kinds of trips: canoeing and backpacking. They take care of all the logistics and most of the gear, and what they ask you to you either have or is really cheap to buy. I went on one back in October and it was the best thing I did all year. The guides are amazing! They are incredibly helpful, fun, competent, and accommodating. Aside from showing you majestic scenery, they help you focus and reflect. They even provide trips for you and your caregiver. Give yourself a break you deserve it!
