Ranjit Steiner, Stupid Cancer Jr Board Member and CancerCon Advisory Committee Member, shared their story at the 2025 Stupid Cancer NYC Storytelling Open Mic Event in NYC.

Ranjit Steiner shares his experience battling osteosarcoma as a teenage boy through a comedic lens. He opens up about the challenges of navigating fertility conversations at a young age and how those early decisions have positively impacted his life today. By telling his story, Ranjit reminds the cancer community just how important it is to take things seriously, even when you’re young, scared, or unsure. His humor and honesty offer hope and perspective to others facing similar journeys.

“My friends are sitting at home trying to not get their girlfriends pregnant and I’m here thinking about, do I want kids in 20 years? Is this something that I want to do? How many do I want? These are not thoughts that you have when you’re 15 years old…”
