CancerCon Live 2023
Scholarship Application

Stupid Cancer is able to offer some need-based scholarships to attend CancerCon Live 2023.  The majority of scholarships will be awarded to cancer survivors/patients between the ages of 15-39 who have not attended a previous CancerCon Live. However, this year we will also award a limited number of scholarships for caregivers and healthcare providers.  

To be eligible, applicants must meet all the following requirement criteria:

  • Member of the AYA Cancer Community: Patient/Survivor between the ages of 15-39, Caregiver applying with patient/survivor between the ages of 15-39, or Healthcare provider to AYA patients.
  • Would be unable to attend without financial assistance
  • U.S. Resident

There are four types of scholarships available. To ensure our scholarship funds support as many attendees as possible, please apply for the scholarship that best fits your needs.

  • Attendance Scholarship: free registration
  • Hotel Scholarship: free registration, hotel accommodations for three nights
  • Transportation Scholarship: free registration, reimbursed mileage or roundtrip airfare to Atlanta**
  • Full Scholarship: free registration, hotel accommodations for three nights*, reimbursed mileage or roundtrip airfare to Atlanta.

*Double-occupancy, August 17-20, 2023 only. A debit or credit card is required by the hotel at check-in for incidental expenses. Nothing will be charged to the card other than additional purchases charged to the room.

**Booked via Stupid Cancer’s travel agency, to/from airport to ATL Airport only, arriving August 17, 2023 and departing August 20, 2023, restrictions apply. Mileage reimbursement of standard rate of $0.65/mile, capped at $450. Transportation scholarship ONLY covers airfare/mileage reimbursement and does not include car/public transportation service between the airport and hotel.

Applications are due May 28, 2023 and will be awarded by June 5, 2023. Recipients must confirm acceptance of scholarship no later than June 9 and register for the conference/book travel via our provider no later than June 16. 

If you plan to apply for a scholarship, please do not register for CancerCon. Any scholarship applicants that register for the conference will be disqualified from consideration. Any applications that are not selected for a scholarship will be able to register for the conference at the Early Bird rate. Contact [email protected] with questions.
