AYA Cancer Chronicles (Part 2): The Caregiver Experience

Join us for Part II of this five part series highlighting the experiences of adolescent/young adult patients and caregivers affected by cancer. In Part II, we will focus on the caregiver experience, especially the unique challenges that come with navigating role changes, shared decision making, caregiver burnout and self-care. This panel-style workshop will illuminate the stories of AYA Caregivers and will be moderated by CancerCare oncology social workers.

This program intends to provide adolescent/young adult (AYA) patients and caregivers with a safe platform to share their personal and unique experiences with cancer. The hope is to bring awareness to the specific challenges YA cancer patients and caregivers face daily, in turn, reducing feelings of isolation and creating a sense of community.
