AYA Cancer Chronicles (Part 4): Survivorship

Join us for Part IV of this five part series highlighting the experiences of adolescent/young adult patients and caregivers affected by cancer. In Part IV, we will focus on the transition from patient to survivor and how to navigate the different challenges that accompany survivorship. This will cover, handling the transition, managing long-term side effects, fear of recurrence and building a support system. This panel-style workshop will illuminate the stories of AYAs and will be moderated by CancerCare oncology social workers.

This program intends to provide adolescent/young adult (AYA) patients and caregivers with a safe platform to share their personal and unique experiences with cancer. The hope is to bring awareness to the specific challenges YA cancer patients and caregivers face daily, in turn, reducing feelings of isolation and creating a sense of community.
