Men, Masculinity, and What Happens After Cancer (co-hosted with CancerDudes)

Cancer diagnosis and treatment often transform you as a human being. For men, there can be added layers of societal expectations for how you “should” act or who you “should” be. These shifting issues of masculinity, identity, and cancer’s impact can influence various dimensions of your life. In this discussion, we will explore the ongoing tension of who was I before cancer? and who I am during or after it? This will be an open space to talk with other men about the pressures to remain the same after cancer and how masculinity can impact our approach to processing changes to our identity.
